Workplace Noise Measurements
Is your workplace too noisy? If you have to raise your voice to speak to someone at arm’s length then your workplace may be too noisy. The only way to be sure that your workplace is not too noisy is to conduct a workplace noise assessment or noise survey. Hearing Protection Services have been conducting noise assessments Australia wide since 2008. This means we have the experience to accurately measure noise levels at your workplace, on plant, equipment and on individuals. Noise Assessment, Report & Debrief
The Noise Assessments are conducted either statically with the use of a hand held sound level meter, or both statically and with the addition of dosimeter that is fitted to the employee. The dosimeter results will give a true measurement of individual noise exposure with a graphical time history representation of their noise exposure.
After all site information and noise measurements are taken, we then analyse the results. From here the noise assessment report is generated. This detailed report will identify any noisy equipment, noisy workstations and noisy areas at your workplace. We will highlight areas where there is excessive noise and implement the hierarchy of noise control. As an immediate action either administrative controls or hearing protection for employees may be recommended. If this if the case we will identify the safe exposure time in the noisy areas, identify areas where hearing protection is required, suggest signage placement and advise on the correct class of hearing protection. Once you have read over the report and digested the information we arrange a time to review the results and answer any questions you may have.
All Noise Assessments and reports are conducted by trained, university qualified assessors.
